Details of the Job/Internship
S. S. Rana & Co. is hiring for the position of Patent Associate/Patent Agent with 1-3 years of experience to join their South Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting Prior Art searches on paid and free databases.
- Preparing IP opinions (patentability, FTO, invalidity)
- Creating an initial understanding of the invention, creating search strategies, and executing search strategies.
- Drafting Provisional and Complete Specifications for patent applications
- Drafting and handling responses to office actions in India and all other compliance requirements as per the
- applicable patent law.
- Attending to Examination reports and Office Actions by giving technical arguments (written & verbal) and attending hearings at the Indian Patent Office (in case of registered patent agents)
- Assisting in patent oppositions and providing technical support to the enforcement activities through research and analysis of recent cases etc.
- Patent Application filing and prosecution in India and worldwide including PCT.
Eligibility
Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./M.E/MTech
Desired Skills:
- Self-motivated, proactive & hardworking. Ability to listen and anticipate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of Indian Patent Laws, USA and EPO patent laws.
Patent agents would be an added advantage.
