Details of the Job/Internship

Artemis Law Associates is hiring a Patent Associate with 1–5 years of experience to join its office at Andheri West, Mumbai. This is a full-time role with a five-day work week, focusing on patent drafting, searching, prosecution, freedom-to-operate analysis, and infringement analysis. Candidates must be based in the Mumbai region.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Conduct patent searches, freedom-to-operate analyses, and infringement analyses.
• Prepare and respond to office actions.
• Work with various patent databases and technical domains.
• Support patent-related advisory and compliance work.

Eligibility

• 1–5 years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution.
• Registered Patent Agent.
• Educational background in M.E. / M.Tech / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunication, Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechanical engineering, or B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Biotechnology / B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with creative and persuasive writing ability.
• Prior experience in drafting patent applications and/or office action responses.
• Strong knowledge of IP laws across various jurisdictions and patent databases.
• Good technical knowledge aligned with educational background.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Additional certifications or training in intellectual property or related areas are desirable.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on assignments.
• Ability to respond flexibly and positively to changing demands.

Salary/Stipend
