Details of the Job/Internship

Obhan & Associates is looking for skilled patent professionals for drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to mechanical engineering, computer science, electronics & communications, artificial intelligence, and other related fields.

Location: Delhi, Bangalore (On site)

Role and Responsibilities

Patent Drafting:-

• Reviewing and understanding invention disclosures related to various technical domains.
• Conducting patentability searches.
• Determining the novel and inventive features of the invention based vis-a-vis the known prior art.
• Drafting provisional and complete Applications for India/US filing.

Patent Prosecution:- 

• Analyzing patent application and the office action.
• Formalizing strategies (amending claims and/or formulating arguments) to respond to various objections/rejections raised in the office action.
• Drafting response to the office action (for US, EP and/or India jurisdiction).

Eligibility

Qualification

Education and Experience: B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech./M.Sc. (Mechanical engineering, computer science, electronics & communications, artificial intelligence, or other related fields). Relevant experience of 3-7 years in drafting and prosecution.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines with minimum supervision.

• Open to working in other related technological domains, if required.
• Knowledge of the Indian Patent Act and patent laws of the US and EP.
