Details of the Job/Internship

Simplia is looking for a candidate for the position of Patent Lawyer with 5 years of experience to work with them in Remote Mode.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the patenting process for AI-based systems, algorithms, and software solutions.
• Develop strategies to secure patent protection, ensuring compliance with international patent laws and standards.
• Conduct thorough patent searches and analyses to identify existing patents and evaluate the novelty of new inventions.
• Draft, review, and file patent applications in collaboration with technical teams and engineers.
• Represent the company in communications with patent offices and oversee the examination process.
• Provide expert legal advice on patent portfolios and strategies to safeguard the company’s intellectual property (IP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate and train on patent filing procedures and best practices.
• Monitor and manage the company’s patent portfolio to maintain and protect IP rights.

Eligibility

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice before a national patent office (e.g., USPTO, EPO).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Patent Attorney, with a focus on patenting systems and software in AI or technology sectors.
• Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, or computer science is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and prosecuting complex software and system-related patent applications.
• Knowledge of global patent regulations and procedures.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice before a national patent office (e.g., USPTO, EPO).
