Details of the Job/Internship

Intepat IP is hiring a Patent Paralegal in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Role and Responsibilities

• Patent Application Management: Assist in preparing and filing patent applications, ensuring compliance with national and international requirements.
• Docketing & Deadline Tracking: Maintain and update patent dockets, ensuring all critical deadlines are met for filings, responses, and renewals.
• Correspondence Handling: Communicate with clients, attorneys, and patent offices regarding applications, procedural updates, and documentation.
• Legal Documentation: Draft and review patent-related documents such as assignments, declarations, and power of attorney forms.
• File & Record Maintenance: Organize, manage, and maintain physical and electronic records for patent applications.
• Compliance & IP Regulations: Ensure that patent applications adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Administrative Support: Provide assistance to patent attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing client reports.

Eligibility

Education & Experience

• Qualification: LL.B / LL.M or any degree with relevant experience in intellectual property law.
• Experience: Prior experience as a Patent Paralegal in an IP law firm or corporate legal department is preferred.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong understanding of patent laws, procedures, and filing systems (domestic & international).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in MS Office and IP docketing tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
