Details of the Job/Internship

They are looking for talented patent professionals for our Drafting, Prosecution & Analytics Teams, having work experience of a minimum of 2 years to join their office in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.

Role and Responsibilities

• Patent Drafting - Talented patent agents with engineering and science degrees to draft high-quality patent applications meeting the filing standards in India, the US, EPO, and other jurisdictions; collaborate with inventors to understand inventions and develop patent strategies; advise clients on patent-related matters.
• Patent Prosecution - Analyzing prior art documents cited in Office action/FER, preparing responses to Office actions/FER, conducting hearings before the IPO and assisting attorneys for Examiners’ interviews at USPTO/EPO, preparing notices of written statements/notices of oppositions/reply statements in pre and post-grant oppositions before the IPO, conducting hearings before the IPO in review, pre and post-grant oppositions proceedings, preparing appeal/revocation documents and assisting counsels for conducting hearings before the concerned High Courts, assisting counsels on due diligence, claim construction and other matters related to patent litigation or transaction.
• Patent Analytics - Patent and NPL searches (novelty/inventive step, validity, clearance, infringement, portfolio, industry/technology) using paid and non-paid databases and tools; analyzing search results as per the project and clearly and succinctly communicating analysis to counsels and/or the clients, claim mapping and analysis for validity or infringement project, patent categorization and bucketing for transaction purposes, SEP analysis for standards such as LTE, 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), infringement/evidence of use searches.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology, Electrical or related field) or Science (Chemistry/Pharmacy/Biotechnology) is the basic requirement, and registration as a “patent agent” is preferred.
