Details of the Job/Internship
IPExcel is hiring a Patent Prosecution Professional with experience of 1–3 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute patent applications before the IPO and USPTO.
- Prepare and file detailed responses to office actions and First Examination Reports (FERs).
- Represent clients and attend hearings before the Indian Patent Office.
- Collaborate with inventors and foreign associates to ensure global strategic alignment.
- Analyze technical disclosures to identify patentable subject matter in software and electronics.
- Manage timelines for official communications to ensure no statutory deadlines are missed.
- Provide technical and legal insights to support the overall IP strategy of the firm.
Eligibility
- Mandatory: Registered Indian Patent Agent qualification.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Indian and US patent prosecution.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, IT, ECE, or EEE.
- Strong technical understanding of inventions in software, electronics, and communication domains.
- Proven experience in handling and attending hearings before the IPO.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High level of analytical capability and drafting precision.
