CHIREC was founded in 1989 by Founder-Director, Ratna Reddy as a summer camp that offered programmes in fine arts, performing arts, computers, indoor and outdoor sports. 

Details of the Job/Internship

CHIREC International School is looking for a PGT Legal Studies teacher in the academic department for its Kondapur campus. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in teaching legal studies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Promote the improvement of teaching and learning in the school by creating a positive and respectful environment that encourages participation and critical thinking
• Deliver lessons in Legal Studies (according to the curriculum) to students of Classes 11 and 12 and provide a solid understanding of constitutional law, criminal law, family law, civil law, and human rights.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students by utilizing a variety of teaching methods, including discussions, case studies, and multimedia tools, to enhance student understanding. Organize or participate in legal studies-related extracurricular activities, such as debates, mock trials, and legal awareness programs. Adapt and update lesson plans in line with the school's curriculum and evolving legal studies trends.
• Regularly assess students’ understanding through assignments, quizzes, and exams and provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and progress. Maintain detailed records of student assessments and monitor their academic growth.
• Create a safe and caring environment and offer academic guidance and mentoring to students who require additional support. Manage classroom behavior and ensure adherence to school rules and discipline by fostering a love for legal studies and encourage students to pursue higher education and careers in law and related fields.

Eligibility

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Law (LL.M.) or a relevant subject.
• Bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.) is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Legal Studies or related subjects at the senior secondary level.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for students.
• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for teaching and assessments.
