Vamaa Dairy Pvt Ltd is hiring a PR and Legal Manager with 20 years of experience to join them in Raipur office.

Role and Responsibilities

Public Relations & Government Affairs:

Lead the development and execution of strategic PR initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and government relations objectives.
Manage relationships with government agencies, law enforcement, and other regulatory bodies.
Handle media relations, government communications, and crisis communication during high-profile incidents involving legal, regulatory, or police matters.
Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and governmental or law enforcement authorities.
Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory changes that may impact the organization’s public image and operations.
Advise senior leadership on public relations strategies and policy developments, particularly regarding government and law enforcement interactions.

Legal and Compliance Leadership:

Oversee and guide the legal team on public-facing matters, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
Manage legal communications regarding regulatory issues, litigation, intellectual property, and public affairs, working with external lawyers and internal legal teams.
Lead legal negotiations, draft contracts, and review legal documents, ensuring that communication strategies align with legal frameworks.
Provide legal counsel during crisis situations, including government investigations, litigation, and regulatory actions.
Ensure that the organization complies with relevant laws in all public relations activities, particularly related to government or police interactions.

Crisis Management:

Take a lead role in managing public relations during legal crises, government scrutiny, or police investigations involving the company.
Develop and execute crisis communication strategies to protect the company’s reputation and ensure accurate messaging during sensitive situations.
Collaborate with legal counsel and law enforcement on crisis response, ensuring a cohesive approach to media relations and public messaging.

Coordination with Law Enforcement and External Lawyers:

Act as the point of contact for external legal teams, law enforcement, and governmental agencies in the event of an investigation, litigation, or regulatory issue.
Facilitate discussions and negotiations between the company and government representatives, legal counsel, and law enforcement officers.
Manage any public statements, press releases, or legal communications during ongoing investigations or legal proceedings involving law enforcement or government entities.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, legal advisors, law enforcement agencies, and media.
Advise senior executives on risk management and reputation protection strategies in legal and government-related matters.
Provide regular updates to internal leadership on legal and PR developments, particularly in relation to government, police, and legal issues.

Internal Communications & Policy Development:

Work closely with the HR and communications teams to ensure that internal stakeholders are informed of any public or legal matters affecting the organization.
Ensure that company policies and communication strategies are aligned with best practices in legal compliance and government relations.
Develop and implement training programs for senior management and employees on legal compliance, crisis communication, and handling sensitive governmental or legal situations.

Eligibility

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Law, Communications, or related field (Juris Doctor (JD) preferred).
Postgraduate qualifications or legal certifications are a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 20 years of experience in public relations, legal affairs, or a related field, with significant exposure to government, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies.
Proven experience in crisis communications, government relations, and navigating legal frameworks related to public relations.
Strong experience managing high-level legal matters, including negotiations, contracts, compliance issues, and media relations.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex and sensitive situations involving government entities, police, lawyers, and public perception management.
