Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan attorneys is hiring a Principal Associate – Commercial Litigation with experience of 5–7 years to join their Hyderabad office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting legal notices, replies, pleadings, rejoinders, appeals, writs, SLPs, written submissions, and written arguments before various forums.
• Working knowledge of commercial laws, practice and procedure of courts, tribunals, arbitrations, IBC, Limitation Act, CPC, Company Law, and the Constitution.
• Analysing issues, conducting research from databases, preparing first drafts, and reviewing drafts with value addition.
• Communicating directly with clients when required.
• Working under the guidance of an Associate Partner or Partner in drafting, preparing documents, and court appearances.
• Filing documents, arguing before different forums, and visiting courts, statutory or regulatory authorities, and client offices when required.
• Demonstrating strong analytical ability, technical proficiency, teamwork, communication skills, integrity, and commitment to work ethics.

Eligibility

• A three or five-year law degree from a reputed university with an excellent academic record.
• 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, or Arbitration practice.
• Additional experience in general corporate advisory (securities or exchange control) and IPR disputes will be an advantage.
• Involvement in heavy or mid-scale litigations involving commercial contractual disputes, domestic and international arbitration, and general civil and criminal litigation.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Must have written articles on relevant disputes or topics in the subject areas mentioned.
