Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring a Principal Associate with 5–7 years of post-qualification experience to join the Commercial Litigation team in the Hyderabad office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle heavy and mid-level litigations involving commercial contractual disputes, domestic and international arbitration, and general civil and criminal litigation.
• Draft legal notices, replies to legal notices, pleadings, rejoinders, appeals, writs, SLPs, written submissions, and written arguments before various forums.
• Conduct legal research and prepare first drafts of pleadings and documents with factual and legal analysis.
• Work under the guidance of an Associate Partner or Partner in drafting and preparing legal documents and pleadings.
• Communicate directly with clients where required.
• Appear before courts, tribunals, and arbitration forums when necessary.
• File legal documents and pleadings before different forums.
• Visit courts, statutory or regulatory authorities, and client offices when required.

Eligibility

• Three or five-year law degree from a reputed university with an excellent academic record.
• 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation, real estate disputes, or arbitration practice.
• Additional experience in general corporate advisory such as securities or exchange control matters and IPR disputes will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of commercial laws, court procedures, IBC, Limitation Act, CPC, Company Law, and the Constitution.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Ability to analyse legal issues, conduct research, and draft legal documents effectively.
• Must have up-to-date knowledge of current commercial laws and court procedures.
• Experience in writing articles on disputes or related subject areas is preferred.
