Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan is hiring a Principal Associate in Corporate and M&A (Transactions) with experience of 5-7 years to join their office in Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle transactions including M&A, private equity investments, VC funding, joint ventures, corporate, commercial and strategic corporate transactions.
- Provide advisory on corporate laws, regulatory or sectoral laws, and compliance.
- Possess knowledge of laws such as the Indian Contracts Act, Companies Act, FEMA, Competition Act, SEBI laws, RBI regulations, Industrial and Labour Laws, Data Protection Laws, Legal Metrology Act, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Manage assignments independently, including negotiations.
- Ensure delivery of work products within deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Train and mentor junior associates.
- Conduct legal research, draft articles and papers, and participate in knowledge management.
- Contribute to business development aligned with the firm’s business plans.
Eligibility
- A five-year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record.
- LLM/CA/CS is an added advantage. 5-7 years of experience in the corporate practice of a well-reputed law firm.
