Details of the Job/Internship

White & Brief – Advocates and Solicitors is hiring a Principal Associate – Dispute Resolution & Litigation with experience of 7–8 years to join its Mumbai office. The role involves handling complex civil matters, driving case strategy, managing client relationships, and supervising junior associates in a fast-paced practice environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Appearing and arguing matters before the Bombay High Court, City Civil Courts, District Courts, and relevant tribunals.
• Driving case strategy across drafting, interim reliefs, evidence, and final hearings.
• Drafting and reviewing plaints, written statements, affidavits, applications, appeals, and written submissions.
• Conducting legal research and preparing briefs, opinions, and strategy notes.
• Ensuring procedural compliance, filings, timelines, and adherence to court directions.
• Coordinating with clients, senior counsel, external counsel, and expert witnesses.
• Supervising and mentoring junior associates on drafting, research, and hearing preparation.
• Contributing to knowledge development and precedent building within the practice.

Eligibility

• LLB from a recognised university and enrolment with the Bar Council of India.
• 7–8 years of post-qualification experience in civil litigation before Indian courts.
• Strong drafting and oral advocacy skills with knowledge of the CPC, Evidence Act, Specific Relief Act, and Contract Act.
• Demonstrated capability in client management and stakeholder coordination.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a high-ownership mindset.

Salary/Stipend
