AK & Partners is hiring a Principal Associate for its Dispute Resolution practice in New Delhi. The role involves managing complex commercial disputes and arbitration matters, leading client engagements, and mentoring junior associates.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage litigation and arbitration matters before courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities.
- Draft pleadings, petitions, written submissions, and arbitration documentation.
- Formulate litigation strategy and coordinate with partners and external counsel.
- Supervise and guide junior associates to maintain quality and consistency.
- Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality opinions and briefs.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams for case updates and strategy alignment.
- Contribute to the firm’s knowledge management, training, and business development initiatives.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognised university; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in litigation and arbitration.
- Proven experience in handling commercial, financial, or regulatory disputes.
- Strong legal drafting, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent communication, client, and team management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple mandates and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
