Details of the Job/Internship

AK & Partners is hiring a Principal Associate with 7 years of experience to its General Corporate practice in New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate and commercial laws, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and foreign investments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents such as Shareholders’ Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, and Business Transfer Agreements.
• Provide strategic legal and regulatory advice to entities in financial services, fintech, and NBFC sectors.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and financial institutions for compliance and licensing matters.
• Conduct legal due diligence and coordinate multi-stakeholder deal execution.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and commercial relevance.
• Lead and mentor junior associates to foster professional growth and team performance.
• Contribute to knowledge management, training, and business development initiatives.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; LL.M. preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in General Corporate, M&A, or Financial Regulatory work.
• Strong experience in fintech, NBFC, or financial sector advisory preferred.
• Company Secretaries (CS) with relevant transactional experience are also eligible.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
