Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring a Principal Associate – Indirect Tax Litigation with 4–7 years of experience to join its Chandigarh office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle matters relating to indirect tax laws including GST, Customs, Service Tax, VAT, and Excise.
• Manage appeals, representations before judicial and quasi-judicial forums, and investigation handholding.
• Provide litigation management services, tax restructuring, advisory, and consulting support.
• Lead client engagements and build strong client relationships as a trusted business advisor.
• Advise clients on strategic and commercial issues affecting their business.
• Drive marketing and business development initiatives and expand the client base.
• Plan and manage assignments including pricing, billing, and recovery.
• Lead teams, mentor juniors, and contribute to talent acquisition and team performance.

Eligibility

• Law graduate from a recognised law school with a strong academic record.
• 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax litigation or advisory.
• In-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws and related regulations.
• Excellent communication, drafting, analytical, and research skills.
• Strong leadership, team management, and client-handling abilities.
• Experience in representing clients before various judicial forums.
