Details of the Job/Internship
Unimarks Legal is hiring a Principal Associate – Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their legal team in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end IPR matters including prosecution, enforcement, and advisory.
- Draft and file IP applications, oppositions, assignments, and licensing agreements.
- Represent clients before IPO, IPAB, and courts in IPR litigation and enforcement matters.
- Conduct IP due diligence, FTO, and infringement analysis.
- Liaise with external counsels and international associates.
- Guide and mentor associates and interns.
- Stay abreast of developments in Indian and global IP laws.
Eligibility
- LL.B or LL.M from a recognized university.
- Registered Patent Agent is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on IPR experience in a law firm or corporate legal team.
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to handle complex IPR portfolios and litigation.
- Excellent leadership and client management skills.
Salary/Stipend
