Details of the Job/Internship
Aquis Search is currently assisting our client, a prominent law firm, in their search for an Employment Lawyer at the Principal Associate level in Mumbai. As part of this role, you will be responsible for handling employment-related legal matters and providing expert advice to clients.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Litigation and Advisory Services:
- Handle litigation matters related to employment disputes.
- Provide advisory services on a wide range of employment law issues.
- Work on M&A deals, asset transfers, and standalone legal matters.
Statutory Compliance and Employment Law Audits:
- Conduct thorough employment law audits to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Advise clients on statutory policies and ensure their implementation.
Due Diligence:
- Execute due diligence activities independently and as part of M&A transactions.
- Assess potential legal risks and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of employment-related aspects during transactions.
Client Advisory:
- Advise companies on best employment practices.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement employment-related policies.
- Provide guidance on complex employment issues.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm.
- Mentor and support junior associates in the employment law practice area.
Eligibility
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-8 years of PQE in employment law.
- Previous experience in a reputed law firm is essential.
- Proven track record of handling litigation, advisory services, and M&A transactions.
- In-depth knowledge of statutory policies and employment law practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
