Details of the Job/Internship
Sachin Mahendra & Associates is hiring for the position of Principal Associate with 6+ years of experience to join their office in Delhi.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting Intellectual Property (IP) litigation, including preparation of pleadings, representation, and related legal support.
- Drafting and filing of applications pertaining to patents, trademarks, and designs.
- Performing comprehensive research and analysis to support IP matters.
- Providing advisory services and strategic legal support to clients regarding IP prosecution and enforcement.
- Responding to official actions, examination reports, and queries raised by Intellectual Property Offices.
- Drafting review petitions and other remedial filings before appropriate authorities.
- Managing client files and maintaining organized records for ongoing and closed matters.
- Monitoring and managing IP-related correspondence and deadlines through diligent email supervision.
- Conducting prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analyses to assist in IP protection strategies.
- Providing ongoing patent monitoring and patent watch services.
- Preparing, filing, and prosecuting Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications.
- Representing clients during hearings before the Patent Office and other relevant forums.
- Drafting and filing pre-grant and post-grant oppositions before the appropriate IP authorities.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree (either a 3-year or 5-year integrated course).
- Possession of a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree shall be considered an added advantage.
- Holding a diploma or other certification in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) shall also be regarded as an added advantage.
Required Experience:
- Post-Qualification Experience (PQE): Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR); or
- Legal professionals possessing a technical degree (M.Tech, B.Tech, or M.Sc.) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in IPR-related matters.
