Details of the Job/Internship

Saga Legal is hiring a Principal Associate – Litigation with experience of 6–8 years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end case management across civil, commercial, insolvency (IBC), contractual, banking and recovery, employment, and white-collar crime matters.
• Oversee drafting, filing, and client representation while ensuring procedural compliance across judicial and quasi-judicial forums including High Courts, District Courts, NCLT, DRT, Labour Courts, and Consumer Forums.
• Prepare precise legal documentation including pleadings, applications, notices, opinions, and client communications supported by strong legal research and strategic arguments.
• Manage case strategy through detailed legal research, case law analysis, and preparation of briefs and notes.
• Liaise with external counsel, enforcement agencies, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely and accurate documentation and filings at all stages of litigation.
• Demonstrate leadership by managing teams, mentoring junior lawyers, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance litigation practice.
• Maintain high procedural accuracy, strong attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of court practices, regional legal nuances, and relevant legal developments.

Eligibility

• PQE of 6–8 years in core litigation practice.
• Proven track record in handling complex disputes across forums.
• Strong leadership, client management, and team development abilities.
