Details of the Job/Internship
Honeywell is hiring for the position of Principal Attorney with 15+ years of experience to join their office in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Legal Leadership: Act as the primary legal point of contact for IA India and partner with regional leadership to deliver high-quality legal services aligned with business objectives.
- Regulatory & Commercial Advisory: Advise on matters including commercial contracts, intellectual property, licensing, leasing, compliance, M&A, employment, foreign investment, product liability, competition law, and risk analysis.
- Dispute Management: Lead litigation strategy and manage dispute resolution for and against IA businesses in the region.
- Compliance Oversight: Oversee compliance matters and deliver regular training on critical laws, including FCPA, Indian anti-corruption laws, competition law, and IP protection.
- Contracts Management: Serve as Contracts Leader for IA in the region. Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements (sales, supply, distribution, licensing, software, development, export compliance, etc.).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with sales and business managers to manage contractual risk and ensure alignment with internal legal and business standards.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized legal processes, templates, and policies to improve service delivery.
- Strategic Projects: Support and lead global legal transition projects and develop legal strategies to support regional business growth.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized Indian university.
- Enrollment with the Bar Council of India.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant legal experience in a top-tier law firm and/or multinational corporation.
- Experience managing a broad range of legal matters, including commercial transactions and compliance.
