Details of the Job/Internship
Angel One Limited is hiring a Principal Legal Counsel – General Corporate Law in Mumbai with 6+ years of experience in M&A, due diligence, corporate structuring, and regulatory advisory.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead due diligence, documentation, negotiations, and post-closing for M&A, financing, and intra-group restructuring.
- Advise on corporate structuring, governance, capital infusions, and compliance with Companies Act and SEBI laws.
- Support new financial product rollout, ensuring legal compliance and drafting client-facing documents.
- Interpret and advise on SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, AMFI regulations and assess legal risks in business models.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, and support contract standardization efforts.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution.
- Licensed to practice law in India.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in transactional work and general corporate law.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
- Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
