Paraacrypto is hiring for the position of Principal Officer with 5+ years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between ParaaCrypto and the Financial Intelligence Unit of India (FIU-IND).
- Oversee AML/CFT operations, including transaction monitoring, STR filings, and internal investigations.
- Ensure compliance with India’s VDA (Virtual Digital Assets) regulations and global FATF standards.
- Regularly update internal compliance policies, SOPs, and maintain all required documentation.
- Collaborate with legal, product, tech, and operations teams to resolve compliance-related escalations.
- Proactively identify regulatory risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Eligibility
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in crypto, fintech, or banking.
- Deep understanding of FIU guidelines, AML/CFT laws, and FATF recommendations.
- Proven experience working with or within FIU-regulated entities.
- Strong knowledge of VDA risk exposure, KYC/KYB processes, and wallet activity monitoring.
- Educational Background: LL.M. or Master’s in Law / Financial Compliance preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
