Details of the Job/Internship
Eaton is hiring a Principal Specialist – Contracts with 6–10 years of post-qualification experience to join their legal team in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Independently review and analyze commercial contracts including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, vendor, and licensing agreements.
- Apply contract playbooks for consistent and compliant review and negotiation.
- Identify and escalate non-standard terms and risks per company policies.
- Coordinate with internal teams like procurement, finance, and business units to align terms with business objectives.
- Manage contract approval workflows and ensure timely execution.
- Maintain accurate records of reviews, approvals, and negotiations.
- Support continuous improvement of templates and playbooks.
- Work with CLM tools and conduct training for tool adoption.
- Provide legal support for business initiatives.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification from a recognized university.
- 6–10 years of PQE in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong experience in commercial contract review and negotiation.
