Details of the Job/Internship
Eaton is hiring a Contract Specialist with 6–10 years of experience to independently review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts using established playbooks and internal approval processes, while driving process improvements across the contract lifecycle.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and analyze a wide range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, vendor, and licensing agreements.
- Apply contract playbooks to ensure consistent and compliant review and negotiation.
- Identify and escalate non-standard terms and risks to relevant functional groups.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align contract terms with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- Manage contract approval workflows and maintain accurate records of reviews, approvals, and negotiations.
- Assist senior management with strategic decision-making initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement of contract templates and playbooks.
- Use CLM tools and Microsoft Office efficiently; conduct training sessions on CLM adoption.
- Provide legal support for other business initiatives as required.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification.
- 6–10 years of PQE in law firm or in-house legal department, with extensive contract review and negotiation experience.
- Strong understanding of contract law and commercial legal principles.
- Proficiency in CLM platforms (e.g., Icertis, Conga, Agiloft).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
