Details of the Job/Internship
Integreon is hiring a Privacy Attorney with experience of 4–8+ years to join their team on a full-time, temporary contract basis for a 4–6-month remote engagement. This role is suited for a mid- to senior-level attorney with strong data privacy expertise who can independently manage contract negotiations and escalated privacy matters in a fast-paced environment. The position involves leading privacy-related contract negotiations, advising on complex data protection issues, and providing practical, business-oriented guidance. The role is full-time (40 hours per week), with an immediate start preferred, and offers a competitive hourly or annualised contract rate commensurate with experience. Preference is given to candidates located in EST or CST time zones.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead negotiation of privacy and data protection terms in commercial agreements, including DPAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, and vendor agreements.
- Review and draft data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses, and related documentation.
- Advise internal stakeholders on escalated privacy and data protection matters.
- Provide guidance on compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including U.S. state privacy laws, GDPR, and other global frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, Procurement, and Compliance teams.
- Support incident response and risk assessments as required.
- Develop and refine privacy guidance, templates, and internal processes.
Eligibility
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
- 4–8+ years of relevant experience in privacy, data protection, and technology transactions.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with privacy components.
- Strong understanding of U.S. privacy laws and familiarity with global data protection frameworks.
- Ability to independently manage high-volume contract workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a technology company or advising SaaS/technology clients is preferred.
- CIPP/US or similar privacy certification is preferred.
- Prior in-house experience is preferred.
- Experience advising on international data transfers is preferred.
