Details of the Job/Internship
Cloudflare is seeking a Privacy Counsel for APAC with 5+ years’ legal experience to guide on privacy and data protection issues at Bengaluru Office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise on privacy, data protection, and AI laws/regulations in the APAC region.
- Guide on cross-border data transfers and compliance with global privacy standards.
- Support commercial transactions and contractual data processing terms.
- Partner with policy, legal, and product teams and train cross-functional groups on privacy guidance.
- Draft and maintain playbooks, policies, and FAQs for privacy and AI guidance.
- Lead and advise on privacy/security incidents during APAC working hours.
Eligibility
- LLB/JD or equivalent, admitted in India, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, UK, or US.
- 5+ years’ experience advising global tech companies on privacy/data law and AI compliance.
- Expert in privacy, AI regulatory landscape across APAC.
- Solution-oriented, highly communicative, cooperative team player.
- Technical background desired.
