Edifecs is hiring for the position of Procurement Counsel with experience of 6-8 years to join their office remotely. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of diverse procurement contracts (global), including agreements with software vendors, marketing agencies, HR service providers, consultancy, subcontractors, and other suppliers.
• Legal Compliance and Edifecs Policies: Ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate legal and business risks in vendor contracts, including data security, liability, and confidentiality terms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including procurement, IT, HR, and marketing, to understand business needs and align contractual terms accordingly.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for vendor-related legal issues and provide strategic advice during the procurement process.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement templates, playbooks, and best practices to streamline contract management processes.
•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent); additional certifications in contract law or procurement are a plus.
• Experience: 6–8 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing procurement contracts, with exposure to a variety of vendor agreements (software, marketing, HR, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of legal principles related to vendor contracts, including intellectual property, indemnity, and confidentiality.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations and cybersecurity requirements in vendor agreements.
