Details of the Job/Internship
Aptia is hiring for the position of Procurement Lawyer with 12-18 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, & draft a wide range of contracts & agreements, including but not limited to vendor contracts, licensing agreeing, SaaS, IT Service provider agreements, service agreements, licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Request for Proposal, Request for Quotes, Lease, Leave and License agreements & other legal documents.
- Engage in contract negotiations with external parties to ensure the best interests of the company are represented while maintaining positive business relationships.
- Ensure that all contracts & agreements adhere to applicable laws, regulations, & company policies and detrimental clauses including Data protection and privacy legislation as applicable.
- Identify & assess potential legal risks associated with contracts & provide proactive solutions to mitigate such risks and ability to conduct Legal due diligence.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual matters, Statutory and regulatory issues, potential risks, & legal implications.
- Stay updated with relevant legal developments & precedents to enhance legal knowledge & ensure best practices in contract law.
- Work closely with the procurement, business and legal teams across the group and other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and legal projects.
- Create contract and communication templates, discuss legal strategy and advise on recent legislations and their impact on business.
- Fair knowledge of litigation procedures in US, UK and India.

- Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear & concise manner.
- Ability to create and articulate presentations to various stakeholders
- Good people management and mentoring skills
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks & prioritize responsibilities effectively
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to handle evolving legal situations and adapt to changing business needs.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
- LLB with 12-18 years of experience working at a Senior position with exposure to UK and US procedures and Jurisdiction, preferably in a corporate or shared services environment.
- Experience in reviewing cross border agreements, & knowledge of recent regulatory and statutory updates.
