Details of the Job/Internship
Coursera is seeking a tech-savvy Product Counsel with global legal experience to support product, engineering, and marketing teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance across product lifecycle and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with global consumer and advertising regulations.
- Review product features and user flows for legal risks.
- Support IP strategy and compliance, especially in AI/ML tools.
- Monitor global regulatory developments and implement policy updates.
- Collaborate with global teams and build compliance playbooks.
- Lead product legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- Right to practice law in India.
- Experience in global consumer protection laws, especially FTC and US state laws.
- Strong understanding of marketing and advertising law.
- Knowledge of privacy and AI regulations.
- Ability to work across cultures and time zones.
