Details of the Job/Internship

Chargebee is hiring a Product Counsel to join its Legal team, working closely with the Product team. The role involves ensuring products meet legal, regulatory, and industry standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement compliance strategies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Research and analyze applicability of laws, regulations, and standards to Chargebee products.
• Monitor relevant laws, regulations, and standards for ongoing compliance.
• Conduct gap assessments and audits, recommending measures to close compliance gaps.
• Prepare, review, and maintain documentation related to product compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements.
• Liaise with law firms, third-party vendors, and regulators on product compliance matters.
• Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues and respond to stakeholder queries.
• Provide status updates to management and internal stakeholders.
• Advise Product and Business teams on compliance for new geographies and product launches.
• Communicate complex legal and regulatory concepts to internal teams and serve as a legal point of contact for customers on product compliance matters.

• Strong understanding of product compliance, regulatory frameworks, and legal requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
