Details of the Job/Internship

Rama University is hiring for the position of Professor- Juridical Science with 10 years of experience to join their campus in Kanpur. 

Role and Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Teaching

• Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate law courses (LL.B., LL.M., Integrated Programs).
• Incorporate innovative pedagogy, including moot courts, case law analysis, simulations, and ICT-based teaching.
• Develop curriculum aligned with contemporary legal trends (e.g., constitutional law, cyber law, IPR, international law).
• Supervise LL.M. dissertations and Ph.D. research scholars.
• Mentor students in moot courts, legal aid programs, and career development.

Research & Innovation

• Lead research initiatives and publish in UGC-CARE, Scopus, or other reputed journals.
• Secure external research funding and manage funded projects from ICSSR, Ministry of Law, etc.
• Guide Ph.D. candidates and build a research-oriented academic environment.
• Present scholarly work at national and international conferences and forums.

Institutional Development & Governance

• Drive academic strategy, quality assurance, and curriculum innovation.
• Contribute to NAAC/IQAC activities, including SSR and AQAR preparation.
• Serve on institutional committees (Academic Council, Board of Studies, Research Committees).
• Organize legal symposia, seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary conferences.

Community Engagement & Professional Outreach

• Lead legal aid cells, outreach programs, and access-to-justice initiatives.
• Represent the university in bar associations, legal forums, and academic networks.
• Promote diversity, inclusion, and gender equity in teaching and institutional policies.

Eligibility

Academic Requirements

• Ph.D. in Law from a UGC-recognized institution.
• LL.M. with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• LL.B. with a strong academic track record.
• NET/SLET/SET qualification preferred (as per UGC norms).

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in a recognized academic institution or legal research body.
• At least 5 years in the position of Associate Professor or equivalent.
• Proven record of UGC-CARE/Scopus-indexed publications (10–15), books or monographs.
• Successfully guided 2–3 Ph.D. scholars as the principal supervisor.
