HP College of Law, established under the Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI), Kala Amb, is one of North India’s emerging centres for legal education. Affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the college offers B.A. LL.B (5 Years) and LL.B (3 Years) programs with a focus on academic excellence, legal research, and professional ethics.

Details of the Job/Internship

HP College of Law, established under the Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions (HGPI), Kala Amb invites applications for the position of Principal to lead the HP College of Law.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide academic and administrative leadership in line with institutional and BCI standards.
• Oversee curriculum design, faculty development, and quality assurance processes.
• Ensure effective implementation of teaching, moot courts, and legal aid programs.
• Promote research, seminars, and collaborations with legal and judicial bodies.
• Maintain liaison with Bar Council of India, affiliating universities, and regulatory authorities.
• Supervise admissions, examinations, and compliance documentation.
• Build a culture of discipline, ethics, and academic excellence among students and staff.

Eligibility

• Must hold a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• Must possess a Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 15 years of teaching experience in a law college/university, including 5 years in an administrative role (such as Principal, Dean, or Head of Department).
• Must have a proven record of research and publications in reputed journals and active involvement in legal academia.
• Must meet eligibility requirements as per the Bar Council of India (BCI) and University Grants Commission (UGC) norms for the post of Principal/Professor.
