Details of the Job/Internship

The Project Baavdi is inviting applications for the position of Project Intern to join them at their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting organisational governance policies and frameworks.
• Support development of Board governance guidelines, roles, and responsibilities.
• Research nonprofit governance best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Help design internal organisational structures and accountability mechanisms.
• Support drafting of compliance policies related to Society Act and applicable NGO regulations.
• Assist in preparing policy documents such as:
  • Code of Conduct 
  • Conflict of Interest Policy
  • Whistleblower Policy
  • Data Protection and Privacy Policy
  • Financial and Ethical Compliance Guidelines
  • Help create compliance checklists and documentation systems.
• Conduct secondary research on governance models adopted by leading NGOs and social organisations.
• Support preparation of policy manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of policy drafts.

Eligibility

• Pursuing or completed degree in Law, Social Work, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related fields.
• Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Understanding or interest in nonprofit governance and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
