It partners with subnational governments to conduct microplanning in consultation with communities, provide technical assistance for program implementation, and support monitoring and delivery. A significant focus lies in preparing communities and the private sector for energy transition.
Details of the Job/Internship
Swaniti Initiative is hiring a Project Officer, Legal with 2–4 years of experience to join their office in Deoghar.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, MoUs, and legal documents.
- Support development and review of organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide legal advice to project managers and senior management on risks and implications.
- Assist in dispute resolution and liaise with external counsel.
- Conduct legal training sessions and workshops for project teams.
- Maintain legal documentation and records as per organizational policies.
Eligibility
- LLB from a recognized institution; LLM preferred.
- 2–4 years of legal experience, preferably in development, mining, or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Indian laws, regulations, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; strong oral and written English, Hindi desirable.
