Details of the Job/Internship

Livspace is hiring for the position of Real Estate Lawyer (On Contract) with 4 years of experience to join their Bengaluru office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Monitor legal risk in real estate documentation and advise the leasing teams accordingly. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for real estate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate MoUs, Agreements, Powers of Attorney, Deeds, Rent/Lease/Leave & License Agreements.
• Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before real estate transactions are executed.
• Minimize risk and ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.
• Proactively provide legal opinion as needed, conduct legal research and where necessary, work with outside counsel for advice on complex matters and local laws/regulations.
• Support Legal Head on strategic legal advice and process improvement.
• Regulatory Liaison: Engage with regulatory authorities and agencies as necessary to represent the company's interests and stay informed about industry developments.
• Provide a timely update on case status in MIS in a clear understandable manner.
• Litigation experience added advantage.

Eligibility

• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably a mix of law firm and in-house experience within real estate and manufacturing or retail industry.
• Should have exposure to handling real estate legal matters and hands-on experience drafting various kinds of legal agreements/ business contracts.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong organization and analytical skills. Attention to detail.
• Ideal candidate is highly flexible, proactive, comfortable with large amounts of information and documentation, adept at managing expectations, and able to set and adjust priorities as needed while working with internal organizations as well as customers.
