Details of the Job/Internship
Peritum Partners is hiring a real estate lawyer with 1-3 years of experience to join their office in Chennai. As a key practice member, the candidate will play a critical role in advising clients on real estate transactions, drafting and reviewing documents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate agreements, contracts, and other documents.
- Conduct due diligence on properties, including title searches and verification of documents.
- Advise clients on real estate transactions, including purchase, sale, and leasing of properties.
- Represent clients in real estate disputes and litigation matters.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including registration and taxation laws.
- Collaborate with other teams, including finance and operations, to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate laws and regulations, and provide training to junior team members.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized institution.
- 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house counsel role, with a focus on real estate law.
- Strong understanding of Indian real estate laws and regulations.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity tools.
