Details of the Job/Internship
Epiroc is hiring for the position of Regional Compliance Officer to join their offices in Bengaluru and Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Compliance Map identifying relevant laws and regulatory obligations.
- Continuously monitor and analyze emerging regulatory changes (Horizon Scanning) and assess their impact.
- Train business units and raise awareness on compliance obligations and risk exposure.
- Proactively identify, assess, monitor, and report on material compliance risks.
- Report major compliance incidents and breaches promptly to local leadership and Group Compliance.
- Submit quarterly compliance reports summarizing risk assessments, action plans, and progress.
- Conduct independent monitoring and internal controls to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Lead compliance awareness initiatives, especially during key business changes (e.g., product launches, M&A, reorganizations).
- Serve as a liaison between the business, Group Compliance, regulatory authorities, and external legal advisors.
- Oversee or assist with internal investigations, including whistleblowing cases.
- Drive local implementation of the Epiroc Way compliance framework and maintain the local management system.
- Design and implement a tailored annual compliance program and support ongoing development of local processes and policies.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as a compliance subject matter expert.
- Perform annual and in-depth compliance risk assessments and maintain a continuous improvement approach.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's or advanced degree (preferably in Law); equivalent experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in Compliance or Legal departments, ideally in multinational or complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with compliance management systems and investigative procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
