Details of the Job/Internship
Energy Exemplar is hiring a Regional Counsel – India with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Pune, Maharashtra.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal contact for the India sales organization.
- Support legal matters across APAC and EMEA.
- Negotiate and draft customer contracts including SaaS, license, and professional service agreements.
- Advise internal teams on contract interpretation and dispute resolution.
- Manage legal approval processes and maintain contract templates.
- Collaborate with global legal, finance, sales, and IT teams.
- Ensure compliance with laws on employment, data protection, and anti-corruption.
- Engage with external counsel for country-specific legal issues.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- LL.M. preferred.
- Licensed to practice law in India.
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience in private practice or in-house.
- Experience in software licensing, SaaS, and cross-border transactions.
- Strong drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
