Details of the Job/Internship

Aditya Birla Capital is hiring a Regional Legal Manager (Non-Litigation) with relevant legal experience to join their Maharashtra team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Build a system to assess and recommend credit lending viability based on processes and market inputs.
• Mitigate title risks and assist sanctioning authorities in decision-making.
• Ensure legal assessment, approval, and recommendation for all loan types.
• Review post-disbursement documents and maintain exception monitoring MIS.
• Formulate policies and procedures in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Guide internal teams on legal escalations and exceptional events.
• Draft, vet, and release legal documents, ensure fast turnaround time with panel advocates.
• Engage with business units for proposal workability and provide training.
• Monitor and analyze portfolio risks, identify issues in title, possession, or documentation.
• Provide regular updates for new product policies, market trends, and customer segments.
• Coordinate with committees and ensure compliance with risk validations and SLA timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address regulatory and operational requirements.
• Track ECL costs and support data-driven decision-making through MIS management.
• Guide and train team members to enhance acquisition, selection norms, and risk culture.

Eligibility

• Relevant experience in legal review, documentation, and risk management within financial services.
• Strong understanding of lending practices, title due diligence, and MIS analytics.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
