“Justice delayed is justice denied” is one common aphorism that is often referred to in the judicial system of any civilized society. The achievement of some of the fundamental objectives of such civilized society gets frustrated if the administration of justice is unfair, complicated and time consuming. The present research study intends to take up an in-depth analysis as to why present judiciary system in India in unable to yield desired results. There is a need to decipher various causes of mounting court arrears and judicial delays, in light of a vision to explore plausible solutions to remedy the gaps in present system of dispensation of justice. Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICCSR), Ministry of Education (MoE) is the funding agency of this research that aims to conduct cutting edge research for policy implications.
Details of the Job/Internship
National Law University, Delhi is seeking to engage on contractual basis, one parttime/full-time Research Assistant.
Role and Responsibilities
- The Research Assistant is expected to engage in diverse research activities mainly data compilation, tabulation and analysis apart from writing of research papers, publication and Report editing and writing etc.
- He/she is expected to assist Principal Investigator/Project Director in conducting research on various themes and topics relating to the ICSSR Project and of the Centre.
Eligibility
- Possess a post-graduate degree in law with minimum 55% marks
- Demonstrate good field research skills and experience
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to create quality content, worth publication
- Good knowledge of MS-Office and online platforms
- Experience and ability to collect and compile data and its analysis.
Salary/Stipend
Remuneration will be Rs. 10000- Rs. 25000 per month depending upon the assignment (part-time or full-time).
