Details of the Job/Internship

Chanakya National Law University invites applications for the position of Research Associate with 2 years of experience for the research work on the use of illegal arms and ammunition in crime against the state and society.

Role and Responsibilities

• Be primarily responsible for research design and its implementation including data analysis, deriving inferences from the data collected and validation.
• Foster a vibrant research culture by developing research strategies (outlining aims, priorities, and key areas of research);
• Monitor the effective execution of workshops/seminars/lectures and consultative meetings towards the objectives of the research;
• Foster a positive and supportive work environment;
• Any other duty related to the research project assigned by the Nodal Officer of the said project.

Eligibility

• Master’s degree in Law/Criminology/Sociology/ Social Work/ Political Science with a minimum of 55% marks.
• PhD in the above or related subjects.
• Having adequate knowledge of Criminal Law, the Constitution of India and having research experience in the field of Criminal Law/Criminology/Sociology.
• At least 2 years of relevant research project experience;
• Preference would be given to candidates who have knowledge and experience in research related to the Arms Act.
• Maximum Age Limit: 50 years.
