Details of the Job/Internship

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) invites applications for the position of Research Associate to work with them in New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Devise research strategies after understanding the project and provide timely information.
• Analyze and summaries search results on tariff and non-tariff profiles of India’s trading partners and provide insightful evaluation and analysis of results.
• Basic knowledge of trade databases like WITS, ITC trade map, WTO’s, TAO, and other similar databases.
• Prepare reports by performing various excel databases and econometrics researches and technical analysis.
• Undertake any other tasks in furtherance to the fulfilment of her/his responsibilities.
• Protect the secrecy of and avoid disclosure and unauthorized use of the Confidential Information in any forum which includes formal and informal discussion/lectures/publications etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Eligibility

• The candidate should be a Post Graduate in Economics or related discipline with good academic record.
• Knowledge of statistical, econometric techniques and Trade Analytics (tariffs and non-tariff measures).
• Reasonably good knowledge of practical application of excel advance techniques.
• Relevant experience of carrying out data analysis, exploratory research.
• Excellent command over written and spoken English with good writing skills.
• Experience of report writing and project coordination.
• High level of proficiency in presentation skills, including PowerPoint presentations and graphic presentation/animation.
• Experience of working in Govt. Project is desirable but not necessary.
• Minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years as on the date of submission of application for the post.

Salary/Stipend

The consolidated monthly emolument for RA shall be Rs. 60,000-80,000/- per month.
