It conducts law and policy research, strategic litigation, and governance interventions. CLPR focuses on discrimination affecting caste, gender, disability, and minority groups. Its mission is to make the Constitution work for everyone through legal and policy-based solutions.

Details of the Job/Internship

The Centre for Law and Policy Research is hiring a Research Associate with 0–3 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru or New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Compile, organise, and analyse legal materials including case law, legislation, and policy documents.
• Conduct doctrinal, comparative, and empirical research on constitutional rights and social justice issues.
• Draft reports, academic papers, policy briefs, and blog posts.
• Support workshops, consultations, and public events.
• Assist in project management including timelines, documentation, and reporting.
• Contribute to dissemination activities such as website content, newsletters, and social media.
• Coordinate with academics, civil society, and government stakeholders.
• Undertake allied administrative tasks as assigned.

Eligibility

• Law graduate with strong knowledge of Commercial and Contract Law
• 2–4 years of experience in the IT industry (preferably supporting both India and US regions)
• Excellent research, drafting, and analytical abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn quickly
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
