Details of the Job/Internship

D. Majumdar & Associates is inviting law students to join their office in Kolkata. Ideally, they are looking for 02 interns in their 4th or 5th year who would be working from the office as well as home in their spare time on specific projects. The engagement should be more than 03 months. However, shorter periods can also be considered. 

Role and Responsibilities

• The Research Intern will be involved in day-to-day research tasks related to indirect tax laws, customs law, and civil dispute resolution.
• The intern will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field.

Eligibility

• Students in the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year course or 3rd year in a 3-year course.
• Research skills, ability to conduct legal research, and analyze information.
• Writing skills, including drafting reports and memos.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in indirect tax laws, customs law, or civil dispute resolution.
• Basic understanding of legal principles and procedures.
• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a law program.

Salary/Stipend

Only for long term interns. After completion of at least 1 month of internship, remuneration would be given. Would be detailed out when internship is offered to a suitable student.
