As a multidisciplinary private/state university, Centurion University of Technology and Management took its first step when Jagannath Institute for Technology & Management was founded at Paralakhemundi in the year 1997.
13 years and the addition of another campus at Bhubaneswar later, it attained university status with the passage of Centurion University of Technology and Management, Orissa Act of 2010 by the Orissa Legislative Assembly. Currently, the university has two constituent campuses at Paralakhemundi and Jatni, near Bhubaneswar. The university has been accredited with 'A' Grade by NAAC.
