Details of the Job/Internship

Aditya Birla Chemicals is seeking a Section Head – Legal to lead litigation, arbitration, legal advisory, and compliance functions at its Vilayat, Gujarat unit. The candidate must have 6–8 years of litigation experience, with strong skills in contract drafting, legal operations, and regulatory compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

• Litigation & Arbitration: Handle cases independently, liaise with external counsel, prepare case briefs, and represent the company in court/arbitration proceedings.
• Case Management System: Ensure optimal use of Roznama for tracking litigation and legal notices.
• Contracts & Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate business agreements, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing risk.
• Legal Advisory: Provide timely, well-researched legal advice to business units; coordinate with Corporate Legal Cell (CLC).
• Compliance: Implement legal compliance systems (e.g., Eneblon), maintain statutory checklists, and address gaps proactively.
• Reporting: Submit monthly MIS reports to the corporate legal team; update legal databases and compliance systems.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.).
• 6–8 years of litigation experience.
• Proficiency in handling arbitrations and court matters (High Court/Supreme Court/Tribunals).
• Experience in contract negotiation, real estate due diligence, and legal compliance.
• Familiarity with legal case management systems (e.g., Roznama).
