Details of the Job/Internship
EBG Group is hiring a Senior Advocate/Legal Counsel to manage end-to-end legal drafting, vetting, negotiation, and execution of agreements across its diversified businesses.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize joint venture agreements, LOIs, MOUs, franchise and FOCO/FOFO agreements.
- Handle supplier, vendor, service, leasing, licensing, employment contracts, NDAs, term sheets, and addendums.
- Provide legal support for business expansions, acquisitions, franchising, and partnerships.
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for joint venture partners and asset acquisitions.
- Manage execution processes including stamping, notarization, digital signatures, and record-keeping.
- Ensure compliance with company law, contract law, FDI norms, and sector-specific regulations.
- Coordinate with external law firms on disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters.
- Draft responses to legal notices, demand letters, and arbitration notices.
- Provide proactive legal advisory and risk mitigation guidance to leadership.
- Develop standard contract templates and educate internal teams on legal and compliance processes.
- Maintain a centralized repository of agreements and legal documentation.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a reputed law college.
- 7–12 years of experience in corporate legal roles.
- Strong expertise in contract law, company law, real estate law, joint venture structuring, and commercial contracts.
- Proven experience in drafting and vetting complex agreements.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and risk assessment skills.
- Exposure to FOCO/FOFO models, franchising, or operations agreements preferred.
- Experience working closely with founders or leadership teams is an advantage.
