Details of the Job/Internship
Palpx Legal is hiring a Senior Advocate – Litigation & Consumer Law (Team Lead) with experience of 5–7 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Appear before District Courts, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, and District Consumer Forums.
- Argue matters independently, manage hearings, and handle litigation matters end-to-end.
- Develop litigation strategy and provide case direction in commercial and consumer matters.
- Guide and mentor junior associates and interns on drafting, procedures, and filing practices.
- Review, finalize, and approve pleadings, applications, and written submissions before filing.
- Draft and vet consumer complaints, written statements, rejoinders, legal notices, and interim applications.
- Assist in complex legal research and precedent analysis.
- Interact with clients in Kannada and English and explain legal strategy, risks, and timelines.
- Coordinate with court clerks, registries, and opposing counsels.
- Ensure proper case documentation, timeline monitoring, and procedural compliance.
Eligibility
- 5–7 years of active litigation experience.
- Fluency in Kannada, both speaking and writing.
- Strong exposure to consumer and civil litigation.
- Confidence in court appearances and oral arguments.
- Experience mentoring junior advocates is preferred.
- Exposure to commercial litigation is preferred.
- Familiarity with Bengaluru courts and consumer forums is preferred.
- Strong leadership, ethical conduct, and hands-on litigation approach.
