Details of the Job/Internship
River is hiring a Senior Associate – Legal with 2–4 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, case law and precedents and prepare summaries.
- Draft and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including JDA, MSA, supply agreements, NDAs, lease deeds, consultancy agreements and MOUs.
- Manage legal proceedings, including discovery, depositions and court-related requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external counsel and government authorities.
- Coordinate due diligence for legal transactions and business activities.
- Organise and maintain legal files, case documents and contract repositories.
- Prepare and file legal documents before courts and government agencies.
- Analyse and prepare documentation on corporate, commercial, contract law, labour laws, licensing, compliance, FDI, product liability, anti-trust, M&A and other regulatory areas.
Eligibility
- LLB from a recognised law school.
- 2–4 years of experience in a legal department or law firm.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work across diverse legal issues and handle multiple assignments.
